Lincoln City DSActive Press Release

Lincoln City DSActive football team has received a generous donation from Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group to help purchase training kits for team members. The donation has enabled each player to receive a full tracksuit, shorts, t-shirt, socks and rain jacket.

The club was formed in February last year and, in April, five of our players travelled to West Bromwich Albion to participate in the Premier League’s Down Syndrome Festival. Our five team members joined forces with two other players to form the DSActive Allstars, and together managed to finish top of their division.

This year we now have a full team of our own and we’re eager to continue the success enjoyed at last year’s festival. As we look to arrange some friendly fixtures and take part in more festivals, we are extremely thankfully to Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group who, with their kind donation, has helped make us look a smart and professional team. Our players are delighted to have their own kits, complete with Lincoln City FC badges, and wear them with pride to each training session.

Our training sessions are open to males and females from the age of 5years upwards and are held on Saturday mornings between 11am-12pm.

The session is divided into two groups, one for 5-12years and the other for 13+.
