LDSSG and the Boston Down’s Syndrome Family Group would like to inform all members about the exciting new venture for the Boston Group.  The Boston Down’s Syndrome Family Group has been providing fortnightly support sessions to           families with a member with Down’s Syndrome since it’s inception over 2 years ago.  The group has been financially and operationally supported by LDSSG and it has developed into a      successful and popular group and therefore the LDSSG proposed that the Boston Group become an   independent charity group in its own right. Following much discussion, a decision was made for the Boston Down’s Syndrome Family Group to establish itself as independent from the LDSSG.  From today, the Boston Downs Syndrome Family Group is renaming to the ‘East Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Family Support Group’ and will continue to provide fortnightly sessions for families in the Boston District, South Holland District and East Lindsey District with a loved one with Down’s             Syndrome. The group also plans to provide social activities for their members.  LDSSG will continue to welcome all individuals with Down’s Syndrome and their families, regardless of where they live in the county and sincerely hope you all continue to attend events and access our services for support. LDSSG will actively encourage its members to belong to both groups where       geographically appropriate and attend any events where you can access support and share your       experiences. There is no such thing as too much support and too much fun!   LDSSG would like to congratulate the East Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Family Support Group and wish the group every success in all its future endeavours. 21st March 2019
